Lazuli Bunting and the Mirror

I have a friend who lives in the country in Ridgefield Washington. She told me about a lazuli bunting that has been flailing at his reflection in a mirror. The mirror is posted at the end of their road so they can see oncoming traffic. The bunting has been there for weeks in the same place. It looks to me like he would tire himself out eventually...he is relentless.
You can see more photos of him on my website at www.bescoles.zenfolio.com

Poor confused bird -- but amusing for us to see.

And you are already ahead of the game for a
Category entry.

I am sorry to say that I didn't get any photos good enough to submit for the category entry. It would have been a good one though. Maybe I will head back up there sometime in the near future and see what I can get. I didn't even think about the category when I was taking these..but it's a great idea!

I'm tempted to say this cracks me up but it's a great catch too.
