Photo taken at the Tualatin River Natl Wildlife Refuge. The owl opened its eyes now and then, but most of the time it looked asleep.

A view of the west bank from the Portland Rowing Club on a
foggy October morning. The hill north of the Sellwood bridge had some sunshine and the fog bank to the south would lift for
a minute or two, then close over. A week later the color was better, in spite of rain.
